| Johnny on the Spot
was a highlight of our trip. Written by Neil Landau, directed by
Jules Aaron, and starring Jason Brooks as 'Johnny', the play entertained
two busloads of Richard Burgi fans, and why not? Direction, set,
play and actors came together brilliantly. The LA Times, Critic's
Choice,
and www.NoHoLA.com all gave great
reviews -- and so do I. If you're in the LA area during the month of
July, 2002, go see Johnny on the Spot. Call (323) 856-4200 for
tickets. Mom got fabulous pictures after the show, even if she had everyone wondering "Where's Jean?" (Jean was hiding in the back, waiting for the hallway to clear out so she could escape her mother.) Click on thumbnails to view larger pictures. Images are scanned fairly large: about 30 to 50 K each. |
